Who publishes the content
Guides are published by the CompressImageTo50KB Editorial Team, the same team responsible for documenting the browser-based compressor. We use an organization byline rather than inventing a named expert. The team can be contacted at hello@compressimageto50kb.com for technical questions, editorial corrections and accessibility feedback.
What we review before publication
Product claims are checked against the current site implementation. This includes supported input and output formats, file-size calculations, target modes, proportional resizing, preview behavior and the browser-local processing flow. For example, this tool defines 1KB as 1,000 bytes, and a 50KB Under target request uses a 49,500-byte ceiling to leave a 1% safety margin.
We also check that instructions match the visible interface, that internal links point to relevant supporting guides and that limitations appear close to the advice they qualify.
How we handle official requirements
Government, passport, visa, examination, university and recruitment requirements can change and differ between destinations. Our articles explain image preparation principles; they do not replace instructions issued by the organization receiving the file. When a page discusses a regulated or destination-specific use, it tells readers to verify the current official requirements before submitting.
Sources and evidence
We prefer first-party technical documentation, published standards and official destination instructions when a factual claim depends on an external rule. General observations are written with clear boundaries rather than presented as universal facts. We do not treat an automated summary, an unsupported marketing claim or another compression site as primary evidence.
When we publish measured compression benchmarks, we identify the sample type, original bytes and dimensions, output format, browser environment, test date and measured result. Estimated numbers are not presented as measured data.
Use of writing and analysis tools
Writing, analysis or code-assistance tools may help organize a draft or identify questions that need review. Automated output is not accepted as a source. The final page is checked against the product behavior, the site's documented policies and any primary sources cited by the article.
Updates and corrections
Articles display a publication date and a review date. A date is changed only after the page has been reviewed or materially updated. Minor spelling or layout corrections may not change the review date.
If you find an error, email the page URL, the statement in question and any supporting source to hello@compressimageto50kb.com. We review reproducible product issues against the current tool and update material errors as soon as reasonably possible.
Independence and limitations
CompressImageTo50KB is an independent utility. It is not an official service of a government, school, examination board, employer, passport authority or application portal. We do not guarantee third-party acceptance because file size is often only one of several validation rules.
